The Gateway Arch is an iconic landmark in Saint Louis, Missouri. Designed by Eero Saarinen and completed in 1965, it stands at an impressive 630 feet tall, making it the tallest man-made monument in the United States. The arch is dedicated to the westward expansion of the United States and serves as a symbol of the city's role as the Gateway to the West.

Visitors can reach the top of the arch via the famous tram ride, which takes them up to an observation area that offers breathtaking views of the city and the Mississippi River. In addition to the tram ride, tourists can also explore the Visitor Center, Museum of Westward Expansion, and the Old Courthouse. The museum offers exhibits and interactive displays that detail the history of the westward expansion and the Lewis & Clark expedition. The Old Courthouse, which played a significant role in the Dred Scott case, is also open to visitors for tours.

The Gateway Arch is open daily from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with extended hours during the summer months. There is a fee for the tram ride, which includes admission to the museum and other attractions.
