Antelope Island State Park is a natural wonder on Antelope Island, which is the largest of ten islands located in the Great Salt Lake. The park covers an area of around 42 square miles and boasts stunning natural landscapes, abundant wildlife, and recreational opportunities for visitors.

The island was first named by the Coastal Shoshone Native American tribes who called it 'Antelope Island' because of the large numbers of pronghorn antelope that lived there.

One popular attraction at Antelope Island is the Fielding Garr Ranch. Established in 1848, it is the oldest continuously operated ranch in Utah. The ranch offers visitors a glimpse into pioneer life through self-guided tours and exhibits. Fishing is another popular activity at the park, with the Great Salt Lake providing an abundance of fish species including channel catfish and black crappie. A state fishing license is required, and fishing is permitted year-round. Visitors can also enjoy scenic drives, biking paths, and picnic areas throughout the park. The park has a visitor center that features exhibits about the island's history and geology, and offers educational programs and nature walks.
