Slough - Information
Slough is a large town in the southeast of England, UK, that has a population of over 160,000 people. It is situated only 20 miles west of central London, and it is easily accessible via the M4 motorway and the Great Western Railway. The town is known for its industrial history, with a variety of factories and industries located in and around the town, including the Mars Chocolate Factory, Black and Decker, and O2. During World War II, Slough played a crucial role in the manufacturing of military equipment.
Despite its industrial roots, Slough is renowned for its green spaces. It has several beautiful parks, including Salt Hill Park, where visitors can enjoy a boating lake, a small zoo, and tennis courts.
