The town is also home to several annual events, including the Skegness Carnival, which takes place every August and includes a parade, live music, and various other family-friendly activities. Additionally, the SO Festival, an international arts and culture festival, is hosted in Skegness every summer. For nature enthusiasts, the Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve is located just south of Skegness. The reserve features salt marshes, sand dunes, and a variety of wildlife including birds, seals, and butterflies. It also offers various walking trails and guided tours.
