Lynton is a picturesque village situated in North Devon, United Kingdom. It lies on the northern edge of Exmoor and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The town is connected to its neighboring village, Lynmouth, by a funicular cliff railway making it a popular tourist destination. Lynton and Lynmouth gained attention in 1952 when a catastrophic flood hit both villages, causing extensive damage to the settlement. The villages have come a long way since then and have established themselves as one of the most picturesque seaside towns in the United Kingdom with plenty of tourist attractions to keep visitors entertained. One of the main attractions in Lynton is the Valley of Rocks. The valley offers a unique landscape characterized by cliffs and rock formations.
