Bishop Auckland is also home to the Kynren outdoor live action show, which is one of the largest and most spectacular outdoor shows in the world. It is an epic production recreating 2000 years of history and is presented in a 90-minute epic action extravaganza. The show was created by the Eleven Arches charitable trust, and it features over 1500 cast members, magnificent sets, and special effects. The show takes place in an open-air amphitheatre in the shadow of Auckland Castle and has set a new standard in dramatic storytelling.
