Aviemore is a charming town situated in the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland, United Kingdom. It is a popular tourist destination, known for its picturesque mountains, biking trails, skiing, and other adventure sports activities. The town has a rich history dating back to the bronze age, with evidence of Pictish settlements that existed over 2000 years ago. During the 20th century, Aviemore turned into a skiing hub, with its first ski resort opening in 1961. It became so popular that the town earned the nickname "The Scottish Alps."
