Amsterdam is the capital city of the Netherlands and is often called the 'Venice of the North' due to its many canals. The city has a rich history and culture that is reflected in its architecture, museums, and attractions.
One of the city's most famous landmarks is the Anne Frank House, which is a museum dedicated to the life of Anne Frank, a Jewish girl who hid from the Nazis during World War II. Visitors can tour the rooms where Anne and her family lived in hiding, as well as view artifacts and learn about the Holocaust. Another popular museum to visit is the Van Gogh Museum, which houses the largest collection of Vincent Van Gogh's artwork in the world. For those interested in history, the Rijksmuseum is a must-visit attraction.
