Stresa is a charming Italian town located on the Western shore of Lake Maggiore in the Piedmont region. Its strategic location made it popular among the wealthy since the 19th century, and up to this day, its remarkable status remains. The town is named after its patron Saint named Saint Mary of the Angels, which is celebrated every 2nd of August, with light exhibitions and fireworks display. In terms of history, Stresa used to be a separate village from the nearby Carciano. However, the construction of a railway station in the late 19th century and the growth of tourism led to a rapid increase in the population, and it eventually became a unified municipality. One of the main attractions in Stresa is the splendid view of the Borromean Islands. These three small islands, namely Isola Bella, Isola Madre, and Isola dei Pescatori, are well-known for their beautiful gardens, impressive mansions, and open-air cafes. Aside from its natural beauty, Stresa was also recognized for its fine cuisine, specifically its seafood delicacies.
