Courbevoie is a commune situated in the Hauts-de-Seine department of the Île-de-France region in France. It is located on the northwest outskirts of Paris and is considered to be part of Paris's central business district. The city occupies an area of 4.18 square kilometers and has a population of approximately 84,500 people. Courbevoie has a rich history dating back to the Gallo-Roman period when it was known as Condate. During the Middle Ages, the city was a small village and was known for its vineyards and farming. In the 19th century, Courbevoie experienced rapid development with the arrival of the railway system and became an important industrial center. Today, the city is a bustling business hub with several high-rise buildings and major corporations headquartered here. One of the popular attractions in Courbevoie is the Parc de Bécon, a beautiful park with Italian style gardens and fountains. The park also features a hiking trail, a playground, and a pond. Another notable place to visit is the Church of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul, a neo-Gothic church that dates back to the 19th century.
