Daylesford is a beautiful town located in the Macedon Ranges of Victoria, Australia. It's referred to as the spa capital of Australia due to its numerous natural mineral springs. The town is surrounded by a forest which complements the local Art Nouveau and Art Deco architecture of the town. The town has a rich and interesting history. It was first occupied by the indigenous Dja Dja Wurrung people. Europeans arrived in the 1830s due to the gold rush, which lasted from 1851 to 1918. The wealth generated during the gold rush led to the development of the town's infrastructure and amenities such as the iconic Lake Daylesford. The town's history can still be seen in some of its establishments such as the Convent Gallery, which was built in the late 1800s. Daylesford is also known as a hub for food lovers, with numerous restaurants, cafes, and farmers' markets that serve organic and local produce. For wine lovers, the town is home to various wineries and cellars that produce some of the finest wine in Victoria.
