Virginia State University (VSU) is a historically black university located in Petersburg, Virginia, USA. Founded in 1882, it is the oldest continuously operating historically black college or university in Virginia. The campus covers over 200 acres and includes a number of historic buildings, including the former home of Virginia Governor William Hodges Mann. VSU is home to a number of academic programs, including business, engineering, and agriculture.
