Beacon Theatre

The Beacon Theatre is a historic concert venue located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City. Built in 1929, the art deco style theatre was originally designed as a movie palace before becoming a popular venue for live music performances.The Beacon Theatre has hosted numerous iconic musicians and bands throughout the years, including The Rolling Stones, The Allman Brothers Band, and Bruce Springsteen. Today, it is one of the premier concert venues in the city and is known for its excellent acoustics and intimate setup, with just over 2,800 seats.

Aside from the concerts, the Beacon Theatre itself is worth admiring for its stunning architecture, which includes intricately designed plasterwork and murals on the walls and ceiling. The theatre was designated a New York City landmark in 1979 and underwent a $16 million renovation in 2009 to restore many of its original features. Located in the heart of the Upper West Side, the Beacon Theatre is surrounded by plenty of other attractions for tourists to enjoy. Just a short walk away is Central Park, a sprawling oasis of greenery and nature that offers endless opportunities for outdoor activities and sightseeing. Other nearby landmarks include the American Museum of Natural History, Lincoln Center, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
