Fox Theater
The Fox Theater, located in the heart of Detroit, is a historic landmark that has been captivating tourists since 1928 when it first opened its doors. The building served as a movie theater for a long time before it was shut down and nearly demolished in the 1980s. However, thanks to a massive renovation effort, it was restored to its former glory and re-opened in 1988.
When visiting the Fox Theater, tourists can expect to experience a breathtaking interior filled with ornate, intricate details, and luxurious decor reminiscent of the extravagant Art Deco and Neo-classical styles. The seating capacity of the theater is up to 5,040 people, making it the largest theater in Michigan.
