Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral

Kennedy Space Center

Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida has a rich history of space exploration, dating back to the 1960s when NASA used the facility as a launch site for the Apollo missions, as well as other space programs. Visitors can tour the center and explore its many exhibits, including the Apollo/Saturn V Center, where you can see the actual Saturn V rocket that launched the Apollo missions to the moon. The Atlantis exhibit features the Space Shuttle Atlantis and allows visitors to view the spacecraft up close and learn about its missions.

The Kennedy Space Center also offers behind-the-scenes tours, where visitors can see launch pads, the Vehicle Assembly Building, and other areas of the facility not open to the public. In addition, visitors can see the Vehicle Assembly Building, which is one of the largest buildings in the world by volume and was used to assemble the Saturn V rockets. Throughout the center, visitors can participate in interactive exhibits that simulate what it's like to be an astronaut, including a simulated mission to Mars. There are also multiple IMAX theaters showing space-related films, and a rocket garden with various spacecraft on display.
