Aurora Sports Park is a premier sports facility located in Aurora, Colorado. The park spans 220 acres with 23 multi-purpose fields and was opened in 2003. It has hosted numerous local, regional, and national sporting events such as the Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club tournament and the Junior Olympic Volleyball tournament. The park was built thanks to a joint effort between the City of Aurora, the Cherry Creek School District, and the Aurora Public Schools. The park was designed to accommodate a wide range of sports including soccer, baseball, softball, football, lacrosse, and rugby. The fields are lit for night games and there are also concessions and restrooms available for visitors.
Aurora Sports Park has become one of the largest supporters of youth sports in the region. The park has hosted multiple championship games for high school sports teams and youth leagues. It is also home to the Colorado Crossroads Volleyball Tournament, which attracts over 18,000 players and spectators annually. The park hosts numerous tournaments and events throughout the year, so there is always something going on. Visitors can also enjoy a picnic or take a walk on the paved trails that wind through the park. The park is open to the public seven days a week from dawn until dusk.
