The hotel is undergoing extensive renovation,so there was some noise in the morning. When we moved to a different room it was much better.the management did go out of their way to apologise for the inconvenience

Excellent hotel with dining options. Japanese Michelin restaurant Yamagata did not disappoint. I enjoyed the dish of bamboo shoots with aubergine, a yuzu royal cocktail, good assortment of sushi and some specials not on the menu. There is also a cocktail bar on the 23rd floor with great views over the city. Also the hotel arranges a taxi to the airport for €35. Very professional service with a range of language spoken. (I spoke in Japanese and English to staff who were very helpful).

Japanese breakfast has to be booked before 9.30 pm so we missed it. English buffet is good.

The hotel was superb and clearly worked on attention to detail. Everything was first class. Whenever I return to amsterdam I would automatically book this hotel. There are many restaurants nearby catering for all tastes. 15 minute tram ride to dam square. 20 minute walk to museum quarter. Supermarket across road. This was for my birthday and hotel gave me free upgrade to junior suite, card and drink. Champagne bar on 23rd floor must not be missed thank you!!!!!

The restaurants, although looked very good, were quite expensive. Therefore we visited nearby restaurants which were very good.

The staff were friendly and helpful, apart from when we arrived (see below). The bathroom in our bedroom was extremely nice, but the rest of the bedroom could only be considered average.

Didnt quite live up to it's star rating. When i arrived in the car, no staff to assist in unloading car and collect baggage. All restaurants and bars in hotel were very expensive, but that was to be expected. Work was being carried out on level 3 (spa level), which made getting to the spa extremely difficult, as there were 4 lifts, only 2 of which went to level 3. It was luck whether you got the right lift, otherwise you would have to send them away and try and get one that worked. Rooms were supposed to be soundproof, but the sound of drilling due to the work was still too loud.

A Shuttle Bus from Airport - Even at a cost would be good.

The location is fairly convenient with an easy access to the city centre. There's lots of good restaurants nearby.

Definitely not a 5 star experience. Hotel was quite expensive (even for a 5 star) and the service did not reflect the standard one would expect. The hotel staff forgot to clean our room and even after reminding them they failed to do so - shocking. Breakfast was ok, selection-wise, but hotel staff had to be reminded to serve coffee... Although we have pre- paid for internet for the duration of stay - they still have charged us for 1 day extra - hopeless, couldn't be even bothered to claim it back. There's a Michelin Japanese restaurant in the hotel - fantastic service, but definitely overpriced and not worth it. Very bitter after-taste. I would never return there and would not recommend to anyone.

it is 5 stare hotel, and they should not charge for the swimming pool, fitness, and sona.

The japanese restaurant (great experience), a logic room upgrade after receiving 2 rooms worth a 2 star hotel...

My first 2 rooms were not renovated, not so clean and a lot of broken elements were found. When you book you don't know that standard room (still really expensive) are really old rooms. The worst is that you don't find any ventilator in the bathroom (free sauna in perspective...)

The room/ spa/ food were all excellent! Would have been perfect hotel if staff were a bit more friendly/understanding.

Staff not flexible/unfriendly. Woke me up at 11pm after a long day for 100 euros. They were needed because I had ordered room service and therefore had exceeded my deposit. The thing is check out was the following morning (only a few hrs away). I realise it's hotel policy but after I told the receptionist she had woken me up and we can figure out 100 euros at check out she was rather rude demanding I come down to the reception ruining an excellent stay for petty cash.

Sensational 180° view from our 11th floor room. Impeccable and spacious rooms, great mattress. Japanese restaurant deserves its Michelin star. Luxury!

About time that top hotels stopped charging ridiculous extras for wifi. Bathroom was not perfect: low ceiling, rather small, a bit old-fashioned.

If I would have been travelling for business purposes, I would probably have rated this hotel higher. It has a luxuerious and clean feel, and the staff are friendly enough.

Impersonal, generic 5 star hotel - no creativity in both design of the rooms and the other spaces. Expensive. Disappointing breakfast.

We had major issues with the room service on the evening . Also, the menu in the Brasserie is very limited
